Bobbie Peyton is the author of the picture book, Dancing the Tinikling. She was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. as a baby, and now lives in Oregon with her two little (but ferocious dogs).

She is a former special education teacher, who believes that every student is special. She also believes that there are monsters under her bed.

She earned a M.A. from Tufts University and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University. When Bobbie isn’t writing, she spends time playing piano and participating in the number one sport in America: birding. She is represented by Erin Murphy Literary Agency.
